New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman — Attorney General Schneiderman is leading a coalition of 13 state attorneys general which is warning EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt to expect a “vigorous” legal fight if he tries to roll back vehicle emissions standards.

Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer — An analysis by New York City’s Independent Budget Office, which was requested by BP Brewer, revealed that the MTA is years behind on many scheduled signal repairs.

Connecticut General Assembly — Both the House of Representatives and the Senate have approved a bill which, with voter approval, will constitutionally protect the state’s Special Transportation Fund from being raided.

New York Senator Kemp Hannon — The senator from Nassau County proposed levying a 50-cent fee on Uber and Lyft rides, the revenue from which would be placed in a dedicated fund for NICE Bus.

Losers

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie — Governor Christie’s 15 percent job approval rating isn’t just the governor’s personal worst; it’s also the lowest approval rating for any New Jersey governor, and according to the Quinnipiac University Poll, the lowest for any governor in any state.

LIRR commuters — Commuting on Long Island Railroad is going to get worse (and even worse) before it gets any better.

President Trump — The president can’t be bothered to fill senior level positions at the Department of Transportation, but he has found time to fill the Department of the Interior and the EPA “with people financially or ideologically committed to fossil fuel industries.”

Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh — Mayor Pugh’s plan to remove a bike lane on Potomac Street has been thwarted. Grab a spoon, Mayor.

NYPD — New York City’s crackdown on placard abuse doesn’t work if the traffic enforcement agents on the ground simply refuse to issue summonses to NYPD officers who violate parking regulations.
