WINNERS

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams — BP Adams urged the NYC Department of Transportation to install traffic calming measures and bike lanes to Flatbush Avenue near Prospect Park.

Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer — BP Brewer called on the NYC DOT to study a bus-only 14th Street during the potential L train shutdown.

U.S. Representative Brian Higgins (NY) — Rep. Higgins called on NYSDOT to study the potential removal and replacement of an elevated section of the Buffalo Skyway along the downtown waterfront.

New Britain, CT — The Hardware City is expected to receive $2.1 million in state aid to improve biking and walking conditions between its downtown and Little Poland neighborhood.

LOSERS

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie — Governor Christie conditionally vetoed a bill to reform the Port Authority and establish legislative oversight.

New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission — TLC is no longer fining cab drivers who block bike lanes.

Los Angeles Metro riders — Commuters on the Metro’s newly-opened Expo Line faced an hour-long delay on the route’s first Monday morning commute after a drunk driver crashed through a fence and onto the tracks.
