For bikers in NYC, the bridges often contain real hazards in inclement weather: rain, snow, ice, and salt. Transportation Alternatives now has a two-wheeled equivalent of radio traffic bulletins – the nycbridgereport Twitter feed available at http://twitter.com/nycbridgereport. Rideability updates, like the one above, can be sent to your Twitter account or to your phone. Finally, an application of Twitter that is actually useful!
Transportation Alternatives is also looking for regular riders to contribute to this feed. For more information, send an e-mail to bike@transalt.org.
