Winners

NY State Senators Daniel Squadron and Martin Dilan — Squadron and Dilan sent a letter to the MTA and hosted a rally with the Riders Alliance calling for better G Train service. Less than a month later, the MTA announced it would execute a full assessment of the line, which is notorious for poor service.

New York City Councilmember David Greenfield — Greenfield introduced legislation intended to improve the removal of snow and ice from the City’s pedestrian bridges, which often go uncleared.

U.S. Chamber of Commerce — The Chamber is calling on Congress to increase the federal gas tax and index it to inflation.

NYSDOT and Niagara Falls —  The New York State Department of Transportation will convert a two-mile section of the Robert Moses Parkway into a boulevard, reconnecting Niagara Falls’ Main Street with its waterfront.

Losers

NYPD — No motorists have been arrested or charged in any of the three recent curb-jumping incidents that took the lives of two women and seriously injured a man.

NJ Transit — The agency erected a fence at Teterboro station to prevent people from crossing the tracks. Now commuters coming from the Hasbrouck Heights side of  the Pascack Valley rail line face a longer, more dangerous walk along Route 46, a four-lane divided highway.
