NJDOT released three new bicycle guides earlier this month, adding the “Burlington County Bikeways,” “Cape May Shoreline Ride,” and “Cumberland Salem Revolution” guides to a growing list which now includes 14 guides. The new guides encompass over 168 miles of bike routes, encouraging healthy, carbon-free day trips in South Jersey.
The guides offer loop trips of varying difficulty that highlight New Jersey’s cultural, historical and natural resources. The cranberry bogs of Burlington County, Cape May County beaches of Stone Harbor, and the historic Hancock House in Salem County are among the sights highlighted by the new routes. The guides are far more useful than ordinary maps, offering enhanced directions and information about local amenities.
NJDOT’s bike guides now cover routes in Warren, Sussex, Monmouth, Burlington, Cape May, Cumberland, Salem, Mercer, Morris, Somerset, Hunterdon, and Atlantic Counties, as well as the Trenton-NYC portion of the East Coast Greenway and a Port Jervis (NY)-Cape May route connecting North and South Jersey.
All NJDOT bike guides can be downloaded or ordered here.
It’s some all-around helpful information, and I definitely plan to put this information to use the next time I plan an extended biking trip. Thanks for posting this.
I think it very far-far-far trip
But its still interesting
