As the Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) prepares to modernize its bus network for the first time in 16 years, the agency is conducting a statewide survey to gather input from Nutmeggers who ride the bus — and even from those who don’t.
The overhaul is part of the state’s 30-year transportation vision, Let’s Go CT, and plans to expand existing service by 25 percent in urbanized areas by extending routes and upping frequency on high-demand lines.
The survey consists of a virtual workshop and follow-up questions about transit habits. ConnDOT will use responses to propose recommendations to improve the state’s bus network consistent with the goals outlined in Let’s Go CT.
The survey will remain open until tomorrow, Friday, August 5.
