We’re looking back on transportation in the tri-state region in 2013 and we could use your help. In the comments section below, let us know your thoughts on what was good, what was bad, and what was just plain ugly in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut in 2013.
Changing the political narrative: StreetsPAC
Among the bad things was that the busway in Hartford moved forward taking over a rail line that could have provided faster and better service. The buses will be slowed going through the grade crossings if the Los Angeles Orange Line and South Miami Busways are any example. The opportunity for better coordinated local bus service is lost. There will be an expensive rebuild of a bridge that would not have been necessary if the line had remained rail. I urge the Tri-State Transportation campaign to rsevealuate its position on this busway. I urge appropriate members to ride and evaluate the busways I name in this posting and see why I claim that their problems will afflict the Hartford busway.
