Reminder: MAP-21 Event in New Brunswick Tomorrow

Months after the passage of a federal transportation bill, local communities, advocates, states, and even Washington are still sorting out what the new law means. To ease the transition and make sure that the legislation is used to create a more sustainable transportation network, Tri-State and Transportation for America are hosting Mapping It Out: A User’s Guide to MAP-21, an event for government officials, advocates, and the general public. The conference will feature:

  • Transportation for America Campaign Director James Corless and Policy Director Nick Donohue;
  • NJTPA Chairman and Hunterdon County Freeholder Matthew Holt and NJTPA Director of Communications and Government Affairs David Behrend; and
  • NJ Bike-Walk Coalition Executive Director Cyndi Steiner.

The event will be held tomorrow, from 9 am-noon in the Brower Commons Conference Room at Rutgers’ College Avenue Campus (145 College Avenue, New Brunswick, New Jersey). Registration begins at 8:30 am and a light breakfast will be provided. There are still a few spots available, but attendees must RSVP to steven@tstc.org.
