Want to join the movement to replace the Sheridan Expressway in the Bronx with mixed-use development, affordable housing, and park space? The Southern Bronx River Watershed Alliance is hiring a new coordinator. With the New York State Department of Transportation currently studying proposals for the Sheridan’s future and the New York City Department of Transportation’s TIGER study of Hunts Point land use opportunities underway, the coordinator will play an integral role in advancing the community’s vision for the Sheridan area.
The primary responsibilities of the Alliance coordinator are press outreach, government relations, community organizing, and the management of day-to-day Alliance operations.
