Two non-Tappan-Zee stories from the Hudson Valley:
Lewisboro Passes Complete Streets Policy
On October 11, with a unanimous Town Board vote, Lewisboro became the first town in Westchester County to adopt a Complete Streets policy. Town Board member Dan Walsh, the champion of the effort, told the Lewisboro Ledger that this “modest first step” would “remind residents there is more to life than driving in our cars. You have to get out eventually and move around safely on your own two feet. It reinforces the rights of the variously abled and aged to fully participate in pedestrian life and draws a tangible line between our civic lives, health, safety and environmental responsibility.”
