Albany Residents: Learn About Transportation Equity, Complete Streets on 4/21

Next Thursday, April 21 at 7pm, the Albany Bicycle Coalition and the Pine Hills Neighborhood Association will host a presentation by TSTC Albany Legislative Advocate Nadine Lemmon. Nadine will discuss the work of the NY State Transportation Equity Alliance (NYSTEA), a 70+ member coalition addressing transportation equity issues on both the state and federal levels. She will also discuss complete streets policies which ensure that new and reconstructed roads are designed with the needs of walkers, cyclists, transit riders, and drivers in mind; such policies are a priority for NYSTEA and Tri-State and are currently being considered at the local, county and state levels.

All are welcome, and the event is free.

The meeting will start at 7pm at the LaSalle School (George E. Hanner Chapel and Cultural Center), 391 Western Ave., Albany, NY. For more information, contact Nadine at nadine@tstc.org or (917) 767-7698.
