On Friday, November 19th, Vision Long Island will hold its 9th annual Smart Growth Summit.

The event, to be held at the Melville Marriott from 8 am to 4 pm, will address a variety of issues facing the smart growth movement on Long Island, including support for transit-oriented development, implementing the recently enacted Smart Growth Infrastructure Priority Act, and how to finance smart growth and transit oriented development projects.

Former United States Senator, and current Managing Director and Founder of Park Strategies, LLC, Alphonse D’Amato, will keynote the event, and the nearly twenty panels will be moderated by and include some of the leading voices and policy makers in the business, environment and development communities from throughout the region.
