Advocates and interested citizens from Connecticut and the region won’t want to miss an event taking place tomorrow evening (October 23) at Yale University. ConnDOT Commissioner Joseph Marie and NYSDOT Commissioner Astrid Glynn will both speak about how and why they plan to promote transit-centered development in their states. The lecture, titled “Transit-Centered Development: Key to the Region’s Growth,” is being sponsored by the Regional Plan Association and the One Region Fund. This is one of the first opportunities for members of the public to learn about Commissioner Marie’s philosophy and strategy when it comes to transportation and land use. Marie has been commissioner for four months.
This free event will start at 5:30 (lecture at 6) at Yale University’s Sheffield-Sterling-Strahcona Hall, Room 114, 1 Prospect St. (at Grove St.) in New Haven. RSVPs should go to Katie Nosker of RPA at katie@rpa.org.
