GoBus Goes More Often

In April of this year, NJ Transit added style, speed and convenience to the commute between the Irvington Bus Terminal and Newark Penn Station. Servicing the 4.8 mile Springfield Avenue corridor between Newark and Irvington, the “GoBus” has proved such an overwhelming success, that NJ Transit is doubling service beginning Tuesday, September 2.

Stopping at eleven fixed “super stops” along the corridor, current service consists of nine morning and nine evening peak hour buses that travel in the peak direction only. Offering easily identifiable bus stops, improved seating, lighting, and passenger information displays, GoBus’ popularity has warranted eighteen additional trips, including reverse service.
