This Sunday: “Bikes vs Cars” Screening in Westchester

This Sunday, the Jacob Burns Film Center will screen “Bikes vs Cars,” a 2015 documentary written and directed by Fredrik Gertten. The film examines the bicycle as a tool for change as well as safety concerns and the powerful interests of the oil and auto industries. “Bikes vs Cars” looks at the struggle for bicyclists in a car-dominated society and the potential revolutionary changes that would occur if more cities moved away from car-centric planning.

Join Tri-State Transportation Campaign Executive Director Veronica Vanterpool, Lewisboro Councilmember Dan Welsh and Westchester Community Foundation Executive Director Laura Rossi for a Q&A session following the screening. A reception will be held after the discussion.

When: Sunday, June 5 at 12 noon

Where: Jacob Burns Film Center, 364 Manville Road, Pleasantville, NY

Tickets: $10 for members, $15 for nonmembers
