TSTC welcomed two new members to the organization’s Board of Directors this week: Linda Bailey, Executive Director of the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO) and Ya-Ting Liu, Director of the New York League of Conservation Voters’ (NYLCV) New York City Sustainability Program.

Bailey served as a special advisor to NACTO for six years before signing on as the organization’s Executive Director in April 2014. She has helped lead the creation of NACTO’s widely-heralded Urban Street Design Guide and Urban Bikeway Design Guide, oversaw the launch of NACTO’s annual conference series, and developed the association’s federal policy platform. Prior to joining NACTO, Bailey served as federal policy advisor for the New York City Department of Transportation.

Liu, a former TSTC staff member, has extensive experience in organizing communities, particularly around sustainability and transit issues in the New York City region. Prior to joining the League, Liu was Director of Transit and Government Affairs at Transportation Alternatives, Federal Advocate at Tri-State Transportation Campaign, and Senior Consultant at M+R Strategic Services, where she executed a complex advocacy campaign concerning New York City congestion pricing.
