Now if NJ Transit would get their connection from the NEC to the line at Secacus Jct. and the Meadowlands station electrified then all trips would require no transfers and maybe even more would ride?

Amazing, NJTransit and LIRR could coordinate a ticket for the Giants and Jets.

How about a single ticket to get on the JFK Airtrain from New Jersey? Or to a terminal in Newark using their Airtrain coming from Long Island?

Obviously it can be done.

As a regular commuter and monthly pass holder who was just trying to get home after a long day at work, I am beyond frustrated at the lack of preparedness for the U2 concerts this week. It is infuriating that NJ Transit did absolutely nothing to alleviate the burdens placed on regular customers who were not attending the event. Additionally, the entire commute felt very unsafe, with trains full beyond capacity, a mob rush for the turnstiles at Secaucus Junction, and crowded platforms with people jostling and shoving to get into trains. It is beyond me as to how NJT was so ill prepared for this event. I feel badly for those who spent a great deal of money on event tickets and missed portions of the show, but more than that, it is the regular customers who spend our hard earned money on monthly passes and our precious time dealing with the inefficiencies in NJ's transportation system that will suffer from this new Meadowlands line. Only in NJ could it take 2+ hours to get me less than 8 miles outside of the city.

This proves that if you build it they will come. It may be an old
saying but it proved true in this instance. The Secaucus Rail
link has been well received by Sports Fans and Concert Goers.

When Xanadu opens next year it will it will also benefit by this direct rail connection to NYC and the Metro Area. Bravo for the planning that went into this project, despite all the criticism of local politicians and naysayers.
