Please save the date for the Tri-State Transportation Campaign’s 2009 Annual Benefit, the evening of October 29 in Manhattan. We will be honoring U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez and the New York City-based Streetsblog.

Sen. Menendez (invited) has been a champion for transit, both for the country at large and in his home state of New Jersey. He has been a tireless supporter of the Access to the Region’s Core rail tunnel, established the multi-modal Liberty Corridor, and has been a leading voice when it comes to smart growth and the connections between land use, transportation, and climate change.. He sits on the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.

Streetsblog has become an indispensible resource for transportation advocates and New York City residents who want to learn about transportation plans in their neighborhoods, where their elected officials stand on issues like bike lanes and the MTA, and how they can organize for more livable streets.
