Corzine and Trenton will NOT allow Capital Project Funds to be spent on more speculative Manhattan real estate projects. And if Patterson has any backbone he won't either. Remember the bulk of PA capital funds come from tolls and those revenues come from NJ drivers. The PA is rightfully committing substantial dollars to the ARC tunnel and the 34th street station. My preference is they commit any additional dollars to the new Penn Station project. My view... Silverstein's request is DOA.
