21st Century Offers More Ways to Follow Tri-State

In 2007, TSTC finally joined the 21st century by converting Mobilizing the Region from an email and fax newsletter to the blog you are reading now. But we eventually realized that we had fallen behind the technological curve again.

First, TSTC staffers started getting Facebook messages from the Straphangers Campaign. Then, Transportation Alternatives started using Twitter to monitor conditions on NYC’s bridges. Heck, even the Regional Plan Association — an organization founded before the Great Depression — beat us to Twitter.

Well, we’ve finally managed to catch up. Start following the Tri-State Campaign’s Twitter feed here, or just view updates in the sidebar of MTR. TSTC tweets will primarily be of the “action alert” type, or will link to breaking news or particularly important analysis on this or other blogs.

Tri-State also has a Facebook group, which you can become a fan of if you have a Facebook account. So far the group offers more photos from some of our recent events, such as the awarding of the Stratford, Conn., transit-centered development grant, and a rally outside New York State Sen. Craig Johnson’s office.
