On Friday NY State Senate Majority Leader Malcolm Smith said that a plan to add tolls to the East and Harlem River bridges “warrants strong consideration.” He also announced a website where the Senate would solicit ideas on how to solve the MTA’s funding issues. That website, www.nyMTAideas.org, is now live and taking comments.
Of course, there’s at least one good idea on how to save the MTA that’s already out there — the Ravitch Commission’s plan.
