News broke this week that our friends over at Transportation Alternatives are looking to hire an urban planner. According to the job posting, the planner “will collaborate with community leaders, neighborhood groups, businesses, elected officials, government and T.A. staff to redesign streets and advocate for and win great walking spaces, less traffic and safer bike lanes throughout the five boroughs. Applicants should be familiar with people oriented urban design principles, community based planning, complete streets, local politics, political organizing and have a strong affinity for the mission of Transportation Alternatives.”
